As a lifetime New England sports fan, I was determined in October of 2005 to finally start using that passion and determination to create the site now known as Celtics 24/7. Formerly known as Celtics Pride, Celtics 24/7 has become one of the most well-respected and followed Celtics websites. Our motto “For Fans, By Fans” rings entirely true as we’ve built and grown a community of passionate and enthusiastic Celtics fans. It all starts with you–the fans, and I appreciate every single person who supports us on our journey to the top.

Born in raised in Massachusetts all my life mean I know tremendous highs and woeful lows when it comes to sports. I grew up in the 1980s and I had the opportunity to see the greatest of highs when The Green Machine ruled the court only to be followed by the death of Reggie and the rebuilding decade or two of the Celtics. I have always considered myself a basketball fan, but my love for the game grew into an obsession when I moved to Boston for college. I attended and graduated from Suffolk University just blocks from the Garden (the Fleet Center at the time) and had the opportunity to attend games for next to nothing, usually $10 bucks with a student ID. See there are some positive points to awful years when you are a poor kid in college. You can also find my early writings at Suffolk University if you search the archives of The Suffolk Journal, good luck. Outside of basketball my life includes a beautiful wife and an adorable son, martial arts, an affinity for tattoos and XBox (Hit me up as “Obi Wan Canubi” if you want to play). “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ~ Bruce Lee

Big fan of all Boston teams, except I don’t really care about hockey, and am bored with the Sox. Spent some time living in Denver so I root for all their teams secondarily (but I don’t root for the Broncos). Other than that, I work for Special Olympics, the world’s largest amateur sports organization, as a fundraiser. I am particularly interested in how sports impacts communities and society. When I’m not spending time with my wife and baby girl, I basically talk smack about sports with my friends. Glad to be here.

Growing up minutes from the Old Boston Garden and the New TD Garden John eats, breaths, and sleeps Boston sports. He is a big fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins but the Celtics are the team that is near and dear to his heart. A native of Charlestown, MA, John is a 2010 Graduate of Curry College in Milton, MA with a degree in Communication. At Curry, he was the Sports Director at the radio station and was the voice of Curry Football and Men’s Besketball along with having his own Sports show called “The Sports Corner”. His top three favorite Celtic games of all-time were of course the 2008 NBA championship game 6 win over the Lakers to win banner number 17. Also the greatest comeback in NBA playoff history in game 3 of the 2002 Eastern Confrence Finals, and every game Paul Pierce has hit a buzzer beater in his carrer. John is looking forward to blogging and having great arguments and disscusions with the greatest sports fans in the world, in the greatest city in the world. BOSTON!

Going through baby pictures of mine I came across one that stood out. Not even a year old with a Celtics shirt draped over my back as I was napping on the couch in Spain, where my mother was stationed at the time. I’m not your traditional New England sports fan. In fact, no one from my family is from the area and the only person that ever lived there was myself when I attended Berklee College of Music in 2007. Pair that experience with a father who preached the principals of Larry Bird and I became a Bostonian (I get to choose where I’m from…Army brat). I spend a lot of time getting familiar with the team’s history by watching old championship series’, documentaries, and religiously reading Bill Simmons. I currently live in Orlando and am pursuing a career in music as well as a degree in Sociology with a minor in Sports Business Management from the University of Central Florida. I recently started working for the AFL team here in town and I am constantly badgered for wearing my Green and White after beating the Magic. Too much fun. As much as I love enemy territory I have my long term sights set on returning to the place that sparked my undying love for sports, but more importantly, the Celtics.

Grew up in New England and developed an unhealthy obsession with Boston sports teams. Moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and devoted an equal amount of my life to rooting for the Celtics as I did rooting against the Lakers. I work in television and am an avid cyclist, reader and still play hoop myself when time allows. Glad to be on the team.

Watching and analyzing the Celtics has always been second nature to me. As a kid my parents would drive me to my grandparent’s house to watch every Celtics game (we didn’t have cable). Watching the games with the entire family would typically consist of lively conversations about everything Celtics. As a result I have a passion for the Celtics, and love talking sports. I am currently a co-host on Saturday Morning Sports with Dave Long. The show airs on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. on WGAM 900 AM Nashua, 1250 AM Manchester, and online at www.wgamradio.com. We cover everything sports, and focus on Boston sports. I also have experience coaching and playing basketball. I played at the high school, prep school, and collegiate level, and coached at the high school, and collegiate level. I am looking forward to contributing to the site and participating in one of my favorite pastimes, talking with people who oppose my opinions.

I am currently a junior at DePauw University and I am majoring in Communications with a minor in Business Administration. My sports experience has included being a marketing intern for the Indianapolis Colts (bring on the Colts-Pats debates!), coverage of the Kentucky Wildcats Men’s basketball team, and sports writer for the DePauw newspaper. Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN you might be wondering what I’m doing contributing to a Celtics blog. To be frank, I haven’t always been a diehard Celtics fan. I’ve been an NBA and overall sports nut since as long as I can remember, but in the past, I was never able to fully identify myself with a team. The Pacers, even in the Reggie Miller days, just never clicked with me. Allen Iverson (yes I’m one of those) was my favorite player and I followed him team to team almost as close as his entourage, but when that flame burnt out, I remained a sports enthusiast without a true home. The Boston Celtics gave me that home. The Celtics are a family; they look out for each other and hold teamwork, sacrifice, and the will to win above all else. The Celtics hold themselves to the championship standard, and anything less is considered a failure and unacceptable. Although not from Boston, the Celtics are my team and will be for life. I am honored to be working with Celtics 24/7 and can’t wait to share my thoughts and opinions with Celtics nation. I promise to bring an unbiased opinion and to tell it like it is. Sports truly are my passion and working in sports someday is definitely the dream job. I’m happy to be here and look forward to contributing for a long time. Go Celtics!

My name is Adam Rizzo and I’m a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in Sport Management. I’ve been a life long Celtics fan since I’ve grown up around the Boston area my entire life. I’m currently striving to become a math teacher, but at the same time I’m a high school basketball coach and an aspiring Athletic Director. Everything I do is based around sports and I’ve had a desire to be a sports writer, so blogging about the Celtics is a hobby of mine. I hope to be here for quite some time and hope everyone enjoys (and criticizes) my articles!

My name is Adam Goodman and I am an aspiring sportswriter and sports broadcaster. While spending my early childhood living in the Springfield, Massachusetts area, I developed a lifelong bond to all Boston sports, and especially our own Boston Celtics. The time spend engulfed in the Antoine Walker era is what I truly attribute to my dedication to the Celtics, as one’s fanhood is truly tested in the midst of struggle and anguish. Now residing in Connecticut, I have continued my Celtics obsession into the “Boston Three Party” years and I have relished in the successes of a once broken franchise. I gained semi-fame (or infamy) as a controversial personality at Celtics.com’s “Gametime Live,” and I hope to bring that same kind of flare in my pieces here at Celtics 24/7. I consider myself a student of the game of basketball, and look forward to contributing to Celtics 24/7 in whatever way I can.

I’m probably one of few Australian Celtics fans you’ll probably ever meet. I’ve been a fan of this team for years now, and I hope one day to visit the TD Garden sometime before the Big 3 are well and truly gone. I’ve been writing for close to two years now, and also cover the NFL for a few different sites. Aside from the Celtics, I’m a born and bred Packers fan, and a delusional Cubs fan as well (You Red Sox fans probably feel my pain). I’d say my favorite Celtics player is Rajon Rondo – I truly believe he is the next best point guard who isn’t named Derrick Rose. Other than that, I look forward to providing you guys with some great Celtics content!
