Isaiah Thomas Ties The Knot

Isaiah Thomas is officially off the market.

(Sorry, ladies. Note, however, to the best of our knowledge, incoming Celtics rookie Jaylen Brown is still available.)

The Celtics point guard tied the knot with long time girlfriend Kayla Williams on August at MoPop in the Seattle Center.

The couple attended the same high school in Tacoma, though, as Williams told Seattle Bride, they were not sweethearts at the time.

“In high school, you never date the younger guys,” Kayla, who was one year ahead of Thomas, said.

A year later, however, when both attended the University of Washington, they started dating. Apparently in college the younger guys are okay.

“Pretty in purple”

Some interesting factoids:

— Thomas stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, and Williams is 5 feet 0 inches. So the couple used the hashtag “#littlepeoplebiglove” in social media posts about the wedding.

— They chose purple as the main color for the wedding, a nod to the fact that Isaiah played in purple for three different teams.

(Hey, Celtic fans, don’t be green with envy. We got him in the end.)

— Attendees were treated to a big screen of romance highlights.

“When Isaiah first declared for the NBA draft, a filmmaker friend started to document his journey,” Seattle Bride recalls. “What he inadvertently also documented over six years of filming was Kayla and Isaiah’s entire love story, including the moment Isaiah bought the engagement ring, Kayla’s pregnancy and the birth of their son.”

Thomas provided fans with a few shots of the affair on his Instagram account.

Below are some of the photographic highlights.
