Fresh off of a win at home against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics will travel to the Bradley Center in Wisconsin to take on the red hot Milwaukee Bucks in the first meeting between these teams this season.
The Bucks have won six of their last eight games and are currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA. The Bucks are led by star point guard Brandon Knight who is averaging 17.7 points per game, and 5.4 assists per game. Knight is somebody who Celtics point guard Marcus Smart may have a hard time scoring against. He is an elite defender, averaging three steals per game in the month of February, and is able to rebound pretty well for a point guard.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is also looking for a big game for Milwaukee. He is coming off a huge night in the Bucks’ loss against the Rockets last night, where he scored 27 points and collected 15 rebounds. He is a very similar player in comparison to his opponent tonight, Celtics’ shooting guard Evan Turner, because both are freak athletes who can handle the ball extremely well for their sizes, and can both compete in multiple parts of the game, including rebounding, scoring, and ball handling.
Jared Sullinger is coming off of a 22 point game in last night’s game against the Sixers, and we can expect the same thing tonight as he takes on Milwaukee’s center John Henson. Henson, earning the starting role following the injury of Zaza Pachulia, has been struggling this season, averaging less than seven points per game. Sullinger on the other hand has been terrific as of late, scoring 15.8 points per game and averaging 7.7 rebounds per game in his last 10 games.
This game is crucial to both teams. the Celtics are just 2 games away from passing the Brooklyn Nets, and taking the eigth spot in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee is just three games out of first place in the Central Division. Both of these teams are coming into this one hot, and you can expect to see a close, exciting game in Milwaukee tonight.
